Your Next Steps
You’ve done it! You’ve received your Clearing confirmation from your top-choice university and submitted your application via UCAS. Congratulations – your UK study journey is officially underway.
As exciting as this moment is, there are still a few important steps to take before you land in the UK and begin your student life. From sorting accommodation to arriving on campus, here’s your essential checklist to make the transition smooth and stress-free.
1. Book Your Student Accommodation
Student accommodation gets booked up quickly – especially during Clearing season – so it’s important to act fast once your place is confirmed.
Your Options:
- University Halls: Some universities still have limited spaces in their student residences. Check their website or contact their accommodation office directly.
- Private Providers: There are several private student accommodation companies in the UK offering high-quality rooms with flexible contract lengths.
- Independent Rentals: You can also explore shared houses or studio flats, particularly in student-friendly areas of cities like Birmingham, Manchester, or London.
Need help? Our team can guide you through all your options and help you secure a safe, affordable room close to your university.
2. Prepare and Submit Your Student Visa Application
If you’re an international student, the next priority is your Student visa (Tier 4).
Key Documents You’ll Need:
- Your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the university
- Valid passport
- Financial documents showing proof of funds
- Proof of English language proficiency
- Passport-sized photograph and biometric information
Our visa team will review your documents, guide you through the online visa application process, and ensure everything is submitted correctly and on time.
Plan your travel to the UK
Once you have your student visa and booked your flights – make sure you bring all your documents with you.

Arrange your airport transfer in advance. There are many options, from public transport, to university transfers.
